when to inhale and when to exhale during yogasanas?

Breathing is the most fundamental part of the practise. You may use the following protocol:

  • Exhale when you bend forward.
  • Inhale when you bend backward.
  • Exhale when Twist.
  • Never hold breath; when you hold any posture, breathe naturally
  • Inhale when coming back from forward bend.
  • Exhale when coming back from backward bend
  • Exhale when coming back from twist.
