Yoga has been shown to have a positive impact on cardiovascular health, particularly when it comes to improving heart rate variability (HRV). According to a study published in the journal PLOS ONE, yoga practice was associated with higher HRV, which is a measure of the body's ability to adapt to stress. Additionally, the researchers found that yoga practice was associated with lower resting heart rate, a sign of better cardiovascular health. Other studies have shown that yoga can help to reduce blood pressure, improve arterial stiffness, and reduce cholesterol levels, all of which are beneficial for cardiovascular health. Additionally, yoga can help to reduce stress, which is known to have a negative effect on cardiovascular health. Overall, yoga is a great way to improve cardiovascular health and can be practiced by people of all ages and fitness levels.  These studies generally take yoga as a form of exercise, however, yoga is not a set of exercises. Indeed, they are complementary to exercise. Yoga practices slow dynamic movements, whereas exercise involves rapid forceful movements.  Yoga Practices reduced muscle tension but exercise invovles increased muscle tension. Yoga includes lifestyle - dietary lifestyle, attitude - thoughts pattern, self realisation / spiritual elevation unlike other physical exercise.
