It is wonder that mudra can be used for anger management. Can mudra be used for other purpose and how many are of these?

Yes, mudra can be helpful in many disorders. These are required to be done for 45 minutes for effective results: 15 minutes in the morning, 15 minutes in the mid-day and 15 minutes in the evening.

Mudras is literally "gesture" or "attitude". Mudras are also defined as "seal", "short-cut" or "circuit by-pass". These are consdiered an independent branch of yoga.

Though there are many types of mudras (manomudra, kaya-mudra, adhara-mudra, bandha-mudra and hast-mudra), in the question for anger management, we have discussed only hasta-mudra.

Under hast-mudra, there are many other types using combinations of fingers of hands, where little finger repesents water element, ring finger represents earth element, middle finger represents space element, index finger represents air and thumb finger represents fire.

Based on the combination of elements, the mudras balance the composition of these elements in our body and thereby removes the disorders related to the elements and heal us accordingly.
