You discussed about the mudras. Can you illustrate all the hasta mudras here for me and general?

Few of the mudras are outlined below for just exposure; for more information you may refer to text books or references

chin mudra

Simply touch the tip of thumb with the tip of index finger.

Straighten the remaining three fingers.

This is chin mudra. Keep your boths hands in this position at knees or thighs.

You may focus on your breathing and breathe in such a way that during inhalation, abdomen comes outside and while exahalation, abdomen goes inside, faciliating abdominal breathing.

Apaan Mudra

Touch the tips of middle two fingers with the thumb and keep all remaining fingers straight.

This mudra is better for people with constipation, teeth disorders and urinary and kidney disorders.

Hridya Mudra

First place the tip of index finger at the root of the thumb.

Then touch the tips of middle two fingers with the tip of thumb. (just like in apaan mudra)

Straighten the little finger.

Now, place the hands in this position on the knees with palms upwards.

This mudra is better for people with heart ailments.

Surya Mudra

Keep the ring finger under the thumb in such a way that the thumb touches the nail of ring finger and applies pressure.

This mudra is better for people with obesity, and weight problem.

Vayu Mudra

Keep the index finger under the thumb in such a way that the thumb touches the nail of index finger and applies pressure.

This mudra is better for people with body pains – joints and knees pains occurring because of wind. Also gastric problems can be alleviated.

Jala Mudra

Keep the tip of little finger touched with the thumb’s tip and remaining fingers be straightened.

This mudra is better for people with blood pressure disorders.
