In this pranayama, inhale through the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril with retention as per your capacity in the ratio of 1:1:1, 1:2:1, 1:4:2. Initially you may do without retention and after 1-2 weeks, practice with retention in 1:1:1 for a month and then you can proceed with advanced practices. Alongwith it, one should adopt satvic diet and possess positive attitude.
