I feel that anger is not a good thing, but still I am not able to cope up with my anger attitude. I want to get rid of anger. Can you people tell something about the anger so that others like me can try to reduce this attitude.

Some nice men suggested an apple a day and yoga mudrasana for anger management.

Some other good person gave the points to be pondered upon:

  • Always be conscious and it is your choice to extend that time.
  • Always Practice "mercifullness" forever, like God is merciful despite our mistakes.
  • Be contented every time - just wet wood does not catch fire easily as dry wood (discontentment).
  • Learn the advantage of not to be furious as it conserves your energy.  Controlling this emotion is way of conservation of your own energy.
  • Also learn disadvantage of losing your temper - becoming angry first hurts self and later to others and causes dissipation of energy.

You should avoid non-vegetarian food, chilly and masala foods, reduce your salt intake and take sattvic diet - fresh and purely vegetarian.

Adopt the following steps:

Kriya - Agnisaar Kriya

Asanas - Shashankasana, Yogamudrasana, Paschhimottanasana, Kurmaasana, Gharbasana.

Pranayama - Naadi Shodhana, Brahmri, Sheetali, Sheetkari, Kapal bhati, Ujjayi Pranayama

Mudra - Mahamudra, Akash mudra, Yoni mudra

Bandha- Moolabandha and mahabandha

Relaxation and Meditation - Deep Relaxation Technique / Progressive Relaxation Technique / Yoga Nidra.

Step One – Never struggle with your anger. Don't fight it, or resist it, in any way. That only either strengthens it, or suppresses it until it emerges another day. So face it and accept its presence.

Step Two – As soon as possible, simply observe it. In the act of observation all emotion must die. Why? Because you are standing back from it within your consciousness in order to observe it. And as you stand back within your consciousness you are withdrawing (removing) your life giving energy from it.

Step Three – Through the practice of meditation, return to your centre, that means the centre of your consciousness, the centre of your self. At the centre you will find inner peace, and that peace is your power. At the centre of yourself you will find your love, and that love, when you give it to yourself and others, is the healing balm of forgiveness.

Under Mudra Therapy, you can practice gyan mudra for 10-15 minutes in silence for 3 times a day and during when you are confronted with any situation causing anxiety or anger. You can do this mudra as illustrated below:
