I am not able to help myself when I am in anger. I cannot control anger. I repent after my anger is lost, because my so much career is spoiled because of anger. Even relationships also suffer.

I understand that there are some Precursors to Anger which we should understand before control anger. These are

 

(i) Ego

(ii) Dependency

(iii)Fear

(iv) Attachment

(v)Desire

 

 

Ego is the attachment with the wrong identification of self.  Attachment with the false ego - appreciation, loss of fame provokes anger. I am saying false ego because we think ourselves as someone which we are not. Let's understand that we are souls different from body and since we are conditioned with the personality imposed by our family, society, schools, colleges and offices, we stick to it. This way, false ego develops and hence, its attributes to which we attach ourselves.

 

Dependency - Minute observation concludes that precursors to anger is dependency for physical needs, emotional needs and social needs - status.  When the dependency breaks, the being feels survival at risk and defense mechanism gives rise to anger.

 

Fear of losing - respect, means of food, physical needs, emotional needs, social needs, status (attachment to wrong self), - person. Check minutely that are not these the factors behind anger. Next time when anger comes, check threadbarely and observe it and write down and then counter them with solutions to get liberation.

 

Lack of Power to face the situation - Out of eight powers of the soul, there is one power that enables one to face the unfavourable circumstances or difficult circumstances. Absence of this power creates fear which in turn creates irritation or anger.

 

Intense Desire - again this causes insecurity if it is not fulfilled. So, sublimate desire to some useful things that make your life lighter and happier.

 

Very briefly, I have given outline of solution. If you like it, comment below, I would explain as to how to proceed systematically.

 

Create self dependency / self independence/ Ultimate Freedom / Liberty plan

Practice every day self-realisation,

Check minutely dependency / attachments.

Practice living in Paramdhaam as anaadhi / aadhi swarup to become bandhanmukt. This will help to eliminate attachment to any soul, any karma even if it is good deeds, one’s own body, outcome of the karmas - fruits of the karmas.

This is ultimate freedom. It will, no doubt, take time, because sansakras takes time to be inculcated, they will be formed by doing those types of karmas. So body is essential to make sansakaras. Else after you leave the body, you cannot do any karma and therefore cannot impress upon any sanskara. That’s why Baba says that this is the only time to do Purushartha. Body is our vehicle to lead us to Ultimate Liberty. Without body, you cannot do karma and cannot create sansakaras.

 

Check desire where it has generated from - jealousy, living comparatively, out of the needs (genuine).

 

Desireless and Peacefulness

 

Desireless - detachment - bandhanmukt - nyaare and pyaare

Peacefulness - prevents from anger.

Keep gratitude journal to help yourself see your achievements and keep your self fulfilled which will reduce angry attitude.
