Many arthritis patients are under wrong impression that they should avoid movement and any sort of exercises because they may cause more harm. This is not true as this will increase the stiffness in the joints.
Therefore, in order to loosen the stiffness and reduce the pain, arthritis patients must remain active by exercising. However, exercises that jerk and bounce the bones and body are destructive exercises as they put unneeded strain on the joints. Exercises such as stretching, walking, and elongating are beneficial. All the exercises should be started in a mild manner and increased gradually. Avoid overdoing and beyond your capacity.
