The effects of these kapalbhati and bhastrika pranayamas are because of pumping of the abdominal organs and induction of fast breathing pumping the heart fast and therefore, patients with high blood pressure and heart ailments are suggested to avoid these pranayamas. Other pranayamas does not include use of abdominal organs and neither fast breathing and hence, do not cause such benefits of toning of abdominal organs, detoxification and oxygenation of cells / tissues simultaneously.

But you can have these benefits by practising the following:

  1. Savitri Pranayama
  2. Naadhi Shuddhi Pranayama
  3. Uddiyana Bandha
  4. Udara-Sakti-Vikasaka (9 exercises under Suksham Vyayama)
  5. Nauli

I hope that the above exercises will help you.
