Hatha yoga is a tradition described in Haṭha‐pradīpikā by Svātmārāma which is based on physical culture, i.e. asanas and pranayama, to withdraw the mind forcibly from external objects to practice pratyahara and prepare for next step - dharana, dhyana and samadhi, whereas raja yoga is just the methodology of training your mind to control the mental faculty in order to develop soul consciousness as well as union with the supreme - supreme consciousness.
