Age 24, female, healthy, cold climate country. Previous skull fracture and craniotomy (opening of the skull) 8 years ago, leads me to wonder if I should do headstands (I did them previous to that)? If not, do you know of another asana which gives similar benefit? Thank-you.

Once the fracture is healed, fixed and joined, it is permanent forever after a specific period depending upon the length or area of bone under fracture. You can start headstand with 5 seconds very gradually extending the time limit and putting your weight on shoulders /arms and their muscles triceps/biceps, etc. and touching forehead on ground (not top of head). Alternatively, Sarvangasana will give you all benefits as those of Shirshasana (head stand).
