Let's understand how to do pawanmuktasana.
Lie on supine position, i.e. on your back. Bend the both knees and bring the thighs to the chest. Interlock the fingers and clasp the hands on the shin just below the knee.
Keep the left leg straight and on the ground. Exhale the breathe, raise the head and shoulders off the ground and try to touch the knee with nose remain in this position for a few seconds.
While slowly exhaling, bring your head and shoulders back and slowly release your legs.
This asana strengthens lower back muscles and loosens the spinal vertebrae. It massages the abdomen and the digestive organs and is therefore effective in removing wind and constipation.
