Because of warm up exercises, your nostrils will be opened and therefore be ready for jala neti. The neti water will easily flow through the nostrils as the congestion is reduced after warm up exercise. So, if you are beginner, it is better to do jala neti after warm up. Thereafter you can perform asanas and pranayama practices for better results.
As a general principle, in the beginning, you should start when your nose feels most open.Generally it will be during late morning as the nostrils are not congested. Once you master it ,then its best to do in morning after waking up.
