This is a cleansing breath also known as the atomizing btreath.
- Sit in any comfortable meditation posture - preferably, padmasana
- Keep the head and spine straight.
- Relax the whole body and close the eyes.
- Close the left nostril, breath fully through the right nostril then force the air out of the same nostril.
- Close the right nostril, breath fully through the left nostril then force the air out of the same nostril.
- Breath fully - then force the air out of both nostrils.
This pranayama helps to clear the upper respiratory passage and the sinuses.
