This is a cleansing breath also known as the atomizing btreath.

  1. Sit in any comfortable meditation posture - preferably, padmasana
  2. Keep the head and spine straight.
  3. Relax the whole body and close the eyes.
  4. Close the left nostril, breath fully through the right nostril then force the air out of the same nostril.
  5. Close the right nostril, breath fully through the left nostril then force the air out of the same nostril.
  6. Breath fully - then force the air out of both nostrils.
This pranayama helps to clear the upper respiratory passage and the sinuses.
