I am 26, 6’4,” and about 195lbs. I have undergone Power Yoga for the last four months or so. The class is wonderful but as my instructor said it can substitute for a training session with weights. I’ve been training with weights (seriously) for around 4 years now. I normally train with heavy, compound movements and keep the intensity very high as the goal is to gain lean body mass. Since I am more focused in the weight room I would still like to do Yoga but not burn out. I have heard that Hatha as being more of a gentle style of Yoga but it seems to be basic users. I more of an intermediate user and I would still like to get a good workout when doing Yoga but just not as intense. Could you provide any guidance in this matter?
